Sad passing of Zibonele FM reporter Unathi Tuta!

Zibonele fm news reporter passes away.
It is with great sadness to confirm that Miss Unati
Tuta passed away just after 19h00 on Tuesday 02 April 2019 in Groote Schuur .Ms
Tuta has been in and out of hospital for a number of years. She fought lung
cancer and it’s after effects until she fought no more.
Tuta died at the age of 37, leaving a life worth
celebrating and honouring.
Tuta joined Zibonele FM news team in 2011 and was one
of our sharp, dedicated and passionate foot solder .She worked as a field
reporter and couldn’t read news after 2015 due to her ill health.
She served Zibonele FM with appetite and jealousy until
the end of life and had mentored many in the news department. She broke many
community based stories as a reporter and has made a name for herself in the
Cape Peninsula community.
She was awarded by Zibonele FM as the best News Reader
of the year 2013 ,News Reporter of the year 2013 , News Reporter of the year
2016 and 1st Best News reporter 2017.
She was very instrumental in fundraising for different
projects in the station and managed to forge relations with different
stakeholders in the community.
Manyauza (Clan name) as she was affectionately known by
team members leaves a huge gap in Zibonele FM News and Zibonele family as a
Tuta will be remembered for her out spoken nature ,
dedication and focus .
