The station has definitely been on its peak this year with not only launching a DSTV channel 841 but has now a fully viable publication with three books written in-house by Ashia Nkontsa in both IsiXhosa and English, the first book called #Ndingubanina that talks about the identity of a black child, preserving culture and what single parents go through when left by the father of their children has been doing very well and is now in over 7 Provinces across South Africa and has been receiving great reviews nationally and by one of the most respected organisations called Nal’ibali.
Late this month of September we published two other books called #JOY that tells a story about confidence and how it comes from within and not how you look, and the last one is #Baluxanduva_Lwam that is about a 12 year old girl who is an orphan and left by parents with two younger siblings that she had to take care of and raise.
We have high hopes for the publication and hope to spread awareness about reading for enjoyment and telling the stories in our communities the best way we know how.
Books are available at Zibonele FM and if you wish for a delivery around Cape Town please contact our office on 021 361 7109 or email email@example.com
