Olwethu Mboto

My name is Vuyolwethu Mboto known as Olwethu, I was born in Eastern Cape Tsomo in a village called Luthuli” Ntsela” on 08 July 1990, I am the last born of 3 children.

I did my primary school there, then in 2006 I moved to Cape Town to do my high school and I finished my matric in 2010 then I moved to Eastern Cape, Queenstown where I studied Business management and completed my diploma in 2017.

My love for radio developed when I was young as I always wanted to be a radio personality. When I was in Queenstown doing my first year in Business Management. In 2012 I worked as a news volunteer at Lukhanji FM In 2013, I joined Vukani Community Radio in Cala doing isiXhosa news bulletins and afternoon current affairs show called”Thetha nam, ndithethe nawe”.

I then moved to Cape Town again and joined Zibonele FM. I was insipired by the late Zithobile Mthandeki who was the best news reader and the Current affairs host then, Xolisa Sindaphi and the late Unathi Tuta. I am currently studying radio production course.
